AP Diving Self Sealing SMB and Cylinder
AP Diving Self-Sealing SMB and Cylinder
The AP Diving Self-Sealing SMB and Cylinder can be easily filled from the main cylinder, which is why it's sometimes referred to as a crack-bottle DSMB. The 0.1L mini-cylinder (DIN fitting) is small enough to fold unobtrusively inside the SMB and stow in a pouch or roomy pocket.
Deployment is simply a question of unfurling the SMB and cracking open the cylinder.
The SMB also features a self-sealing baffle so that the opening is sealed when inflated, preventing accidental deflation at the surface. Unlike normal open-ended, the SMB can be waved to attract attention at the surface.
An over-pressure dump valve prevents bursting and allows deflation after use.
One key advantage of the AP Diving Self-Sealing SMB and Cylinder over similar systems is that it can still be inflated via the baffle in the usual manner – with a regulator or an air gun - if the diver has forgotten to fill the mini-cylinder.
The DSMB cylinder is filled directly from a dive tank with DIN valve or using a DIN to A-Clamp (Yoke) adapter.
Please note: This product ships only within the UK due to its air cylinder.
