Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 / C370 Regulator - Performance and Reliability
The Scubapro MK17 EVO 2 / C370 Regulator provides a compact, lightweight system perfect for exploring dive sites around the globe.Â
This redesigned setup features a sealed-diaphragm first stage and a dry chamber with a twin-spring layout. Additionally, the C370 second stage now offers optional diver-changeable colour frames in six vibrant colours. Consequently, you can personalise your gear in seconds while enjoying elite performance.
The MK17 EVO 2 includes two high-pressure ports set at a 15-degree angle to make hose routing much easier. Furthermore, the compact C370 offers convenient user controls, such as a diver-adjustable inhalation-effort knob. This system also features a coaxial dive/pre-dive lever and a large, easy-to-activate purge button. As a result, divers gain precision breathing control and reliable air delivery in any recreational scenario.
Scubapro MK17 EVO2 C370 Features
- Air-Balanced Diaphragm: Delivers consistent and effortless airflow regardless of your depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate.
- Environmentally Sealed Dry Chamber: This dual-diaphragm system keeps out contaminated water and enhances heat transfer for cold-water performance.
- Optimised Port Layout: Two high-pressure ports and four high-flow low-pressure ports maximise your hose routing options.
- Air-Balanced Valve: Smooths out inhalation effort at varying depths to ensure a comfortable dive experience.
- Rugged Fibreglass Casing: The nylon casing remains compact and durable enough to withstand years of aggressive diving.
- Super-Flow Hose: Features an oversized bore that allows significantly more air to flow on each inhalation.
- Orthodontic Hi-Flow Mouthpiece: Improves comfort and grip without inhibiting the vital flow of air to the diver.
- Certified Reliability: CE certified to EN250A European Standards for all conditions, including extreme cold water.
What's in the box?
The package includes the C370 Second Stage in Black/Graphite and the MK17 EVO2 first stage. Additionally, you will find a 4mm Allen Key and a 75cm Regulator Hose. These components ensure you have everything needed to start your next underwater adventure with confidence.
DIN or A-clamp first stage?
Most of our divers prefer DIN fitting on the 1st stage regulator. A DIN regulator has a threaded post which screws into the inside of a DIN tank valve and has no additional metal or braces that run behind the valve. This, together with the position of its o-ring, creates a more secure seal on the tank.
YOKE (or A-Clamp) 1st stages have an oblong metal brace that completely encircles the tank valve when in place and is screwed down on the tank valve when the yoke screw is tightened.
Both regulators seal to the scuba tank through an o-ring where the o-ring on a Yoke valve is in the tank valve itself as opposed to DIN regulators with their own o-ring.
DIN fittings are commonly accepted as more secure, but Yoke valves are common throughout North America and recreational tourist destinations. A DIN regulator can be adapted to Yoke valves by using an A-clamp adapter for travel.
