The Apeks Backplate with Deluxe Harness comes fully assembled and ready for diving. Choose either a lightweight aluminium backplate. Or select a heavier, marine-grade stainless steel backplate. Both options offer excellent performance. 

Apeks Deluxe One-Piece Webbed Harness

This strong, simple Apeks Deluxe One-Piece Webbed Harness easily supports a fully rigged technical diver. You can customise it with your preferred hardware. 

This harness kit includes 12’ of 2-inch stiff webbing. It features a centre grommet for added strength. Additionally, a 2” wide crotch strap ensures a secure fit. 

Six stainless 2” D-rings provide ample attachment points. For comfort, two neoprene shoulder protectors are included. Furthermore, two elastic retaining loops sit on the shoulders. One more loop is on the crotch strap. 

A heavy-duty stainless waist buckle ensures secure closure. Finally, six stainless serrated retainers complete the kit.

Apeks Backplate

The Apeks Backplate is available in aluminium or stainless steel. This backplate comes without a harness. Four upper and four lower slots accommodate nylon cylinder cam bands. These bands secure a single cylinder directly to the plate. Four additional slots provide lateral cylinder stability. This enhanced stability is superior to traditional two-slot plates.

Three top holes offer wing and cylinder height adjustments. A corresponding lower center slot accommodates misaligned lower band bolts. Furthermore, upper and lower perimeter holes allow accessory mounting. Finally, holes along the bottom add even more mounting options. A 2" wide crotch strap slot completes the design.

Aluminum Backplate
This backplate uses 6061 aluminium. It weighs approximately 753g.

Stainless Steel Backplate
This backplate uses 316 stainless steel. It weighs approximately 2.2 kg.
